Health and safety protocols
Messe München is observing the current developments in connection with COVID-19 (coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) very closely. It is our top priority to deal responsibly with this situation. Its dynamic development makes it necessary to reassess the situation on a daily basis. We are therefore in close contact with the relevant authorities and are taking their recommendation into account with regard to holding events.
The health of our visitors, exhibitors and employees has top priority for us at Messe München. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus we have therefore stepped up necessary safety precautions.
To ensure that trade fairs can take place safely and successfully even during the coronavirus pandemic, Messe München and other Bavarian trade-fair companies have worked out a safety and hygiene concept, which was officially ratified by the Bavarian state government on 23 June 2020. This concept ensures that trade fairs can start again from September 2020. Essentially, it is based on three topics:
- Social distancing
- Hygiene
- Traceability of all participants
The most important points include the general rule of 1.5 meters distance on the whole grounds. Where this distance cannot be maintained, and generally indoors, a mask is mandatory. The traceability of all participants is guaranteed by pre-registration and our admission system.
Please note that the situation is changing all the time. We will provide regular updates regarding all further developments and changes.
Stand construction
There are no mandatory requirements for stand construction. Due to the basic requirement to wear a mouth-and-nose cover, there are no conditions regarding the maximum number of persons on the stand. However, the general distance rules do apply. These should be considered during stand construction, e.g. when planning meeting rooms or tables. In this case, care should be taken to ensure that the minimum distance of 1.5 meters is maintained and that it is possible to remove the mouth-nose cover. For the catering area at the exhibition stand, the basic requirements for catering must be met, e.g. plexiglass safety barrier at serving points.
Catering
Service personnel and your employees involved in handing out food and beverages should wear masks that cover their nose and mouth.
Food and beverage counters should have sneeze guards. Service personnel and your employees involved in handing out food and beverages should be separated from the other people at the booth by the sneeze guards.
There should be no food buffets, coffee machines or beverage counters for self-service. - Milk, sugar, stirrers, cutlery, napkins, cookies, chocolate, etc., should be packed individually and be available for self-service.
Food and beverages should be handed out and/or served only by service and buffet staff. If your employees serve food or beverages, they must observe infection protection measures and be trained accordingly.
To fulfill legal or official guidelines, Messe München GmbH may issue further orders or restrict or cancel orders that have already been issued. Please be aware that the authorities and Messe München GmbH will carry out checks. Remember that you are responsible for infection protection at your booth.
Traceability of all participants
By purchasing a ticket online or using their exhibitor or service partner pass, all participants have registered in advance in order to receive their access authorization. This way, we can ensure that Messe München can identify contact persons quickly in the event of a coronavirus infection.
Tracking at trade fair stands
If the infection rate continues to fall, the mouth and nose cover can be removed at exhibition stands at the table, provided that the minimum distance of 1.5 meters can be maintained safely. In this case, the exhibitor must record the contact details and the presence at the stand of the contact person separately. The exhibitor is free to decide how this registration is carried out: Either with a digital registration tool of their own or with a lead tracking solution that Messe München makes available to its exhibitors. Alternatively, the data can be entered manually, e.g. using a list or business card.
Information:
Each main exhibitor receives one S2L Smart license free of charge. With this license we support you in Covid-19 times with traceability of customers at your stand. See „Lead Tracking Scan2Lead“
